In 1960, Kumho Tires' history started with the first tires production. At the time, they were able to manufacture only 20 tires per day.

However, Kumho Tires now manufactures world-class tires in eight manufacturing institutions around the world. Kumho Tires began the first outlandish business in Thailand in 1965.

In the 1970s, Kumho Tires officially began cooperations with one of the biggest tire producers in America, Uniroyal Tire Co., Ltd, and succeeded in developing tires for combat planes for the first time in Korea.

The tires producing technologies were developed and the foundation of further development was established.
